The time has come! And June 25 th is the day.
We are happy to announce our next Wine Dinner Event. We have picked five wonderful wines from Peirano Estate Vineyards in California . Five wines that have won numerous awards throughout the United States . All of these wines will be introduced by Roger Ivy, Sales Manager of Peirano Estate.
Peirano Estate Vineyards was founded by Giacomo Peirano, who arrived in San Francisco in 1879 from Genoa, Italy. In 1881, he began farming in Lodi, and year by year he gained a place for himself pioneering vineyard and orchard development. Planted in the early 1800's, Peirano Estate was one of the first vineyards in Lodi. Located in the heart of the Lodi Appellation, the 300 acre estate consists of Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and perhaps the largest single block of old, head-trained, natural rooted Zinfandel left in California.
Beginning with the hard work and inspiration of Giacomo Peirano, five generations have grown and harvested grapes from this vineyard for over 100 consecutive years. Knowing that great wines must begin with the finest of grapes, it has always been their belief that wine should reflect the character of the fruit and the land.

Spring Mediterranean Wine Dinner
It is time to leave the Winter behind and celebrate Spring! And there is no better way to do so than with a "Tour of the Mediterranean".
On Wednesday, March 21st, Scott Graybill of Mutual Distributing will introduce us to the wonderful portfolio of Frederick Wildman.
Frederick Wildman has a great variety of wines from all over the Mediterranean and we have chosen, as usual, five wonderful wines paired with five Mediterranean courses.

Last Wine Dinner Event of the Year!
On Wednesday, December 13th at 7:00 pm, we will have our last Wine Dinner Event of this year.
It's time to feel the Festive Spirit! We will be tasting five very special wines available for the Holiday Season. They will be accompanied by a five course Holiday Dinner; you will recognize the traditional ingredients but the preparation will be anything but traditional.
Price per person is $ 55.00 which includes tax and gratuity.

Announcing an Evening of Fine Art and Wine
Many of you have enjoyed the painting from Sally Anger currently on exhibition here at the restaurant. Now you have an opportunity to meet Sally, see her at work and learn more about her art.
On Wednesday, November 15th at 7 p.m., Sally Anger will be painting at Café Zito and will speak about her work.
The evening will include a wine tasting guided by Debbi McCarthy of Mutual Distributing. Five French wines will be paired with beautiful hors d’oeuvres.
Join us for an evening that promises to broaden the palette in many ways.

Zito's Choice is back!
On Sunday, October 15th we will have the come-back of our Zito's Choice 4 course Tapas menu. Every Sunday and Monday (our regular Tapas Nights) you can choose our 4 course set menu for $ 20.50 and have it accompanied by a 4 course wine flight for $ 14.50.

Because we are completely full and a number of you have asked to be put on a waiting list, we have decided to do an additional Wine Dinner Event on Thursday, September 28th at 7:00 pm.
We are fortunate that Ms. Wendy Wallace of Banfi Vintners will be hosting both Events, touring us through the wines of Montalcino and
As on Wednesday the 27th, the Event on Thursday the 28th will be accompanied by a five-course meal. The price again is $55.00 per person which includes tax and gratuity.

New Years Eve
Café Zito presents a Sparkling Dinner on New Years Eve 2005.
A five course exclusive dinner will be served accompanied by a great Sparkling Wine Flight. After hours we will turn the restaurant into what we like to call a Zito Lounge. Great Music, Wine, Sparkling Wine, Beer and a lot of Dance. We'll also serve some light Midnight Snacks. Make your reservations early, only very limited seating is available.

We're delighted to announce a great exhibition from local artist Nichole Webb
I am a local artist of the Morehead City area. Born and raised near the ocean. It is my first passion next to painting. My work is very much influenced by the water. The colors in my paintings are reflective of the colors you will find in the ocean and sunsets. I love brilliant bold colors. I am someone greatly influenced by the spiritual side of life and my paintings, i hope, reflect that side of me. I work very intuitively and plan as little as possible. The idea usually finds me and most of the time represent aspects of my own life.

For all of you that appreciate our food and wine and would love to see this combined with great music, here’s an event for you.
Saturday October 8 th, we have the honor and pleasure of having two great lady’s perform at our first “Great Food, Great Wine, Great Music” evening.
The Restaurant will be closed for normal service. But we’ll offer you an exquisite five course dinner, paired with a five course wine flight and a great concert by the two soprano’s Laura Steele and Ruth Ann Bishop.
