Jennifer Kelley and Baptist Knaven opened on Valentine's Day 2005 a new restaurant called Café Zito, a dynamic restaurant serving a fusion of local and Mediterranean cuisine. Our goal is to provide intriguing, excellent food inspired by the best seasonal products. A small, flexible menu will enable us to take advantage of the best local seasonal products and incorporate them into healthy, creative dishes in the Mediterranean tradition. A simple, welcoming décor will provide an "at home" atmosphere. This is further emphasized by the location itself, a historic home, over one hundred years old, located in downtown Morehead City. Jennifer Kelley and Baptist Knaven have restored the entire property to its original beauty. Personal attention from the chef is vital to enhancing our customers' eating experience. Jennifer and Baptist will interact with the customers: describing different dishes, serving their food and adding a personal touch to their dining experience.
